Dr. James M. Clayton, a Provo plastic surgeon, has been in practice for more than 28 years. He received his medical degree from the University of Utah and did his post-graduate training at the University of Iowa and the Phoenix Plastic Surgery Program.

Dr. Clayton is board certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery as well as hand surgery.

Dr. Clayton also served in the military for three years as a physician in Otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat specialist). He received an honorable discharge with the rank of major. Following his discharge he continued his training in general and then plastic surgery. During his years of plastic surgery residency he learned the art and techniques of cosmetic surgery under some of the leading authorities.

Dr. Clayton is active in the American Society for Aesthetic
Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Clayton loves living in Utah and enjoys practicing in Utah Valley.

I love being able to help people of all ages, including infants, children, teens, adults and seniors,” Dr. Clayton says. “I like to treat each person individually, with dignity and respect.

When Dr. Clayton consults with a patient, he feels the patient is an important part of the decision making team for their surgery.

A patient said, “I knew that Dr. Clayton cared about me before and after my surgery. It was a great experience.”

In the office, the staff focuses on helping patient achieve facial rejuvenation, body contouring
and breast surgeries. They also do various laser treatments to enhance appearance.

“My staff, and those who assist me with surgery, are also essential parts of the team I need to achieve the optimum results for that specific patient,” Dr. Clayton says. “We like all of our patients to feel welcome and comfortable in our office and at the surgical center.”
